LET'S TAKE A MOMENT...

 by FashionWear owner Lisa Lieberman

Hi Ladies! I miss you all and can’t wait to see and be with you again.

Yes, of course I’d like to see my business get back to where it was, but my passion for this industry was always more about making my clients feel good about themselves, than anything else. Seeing them walk out of my store with renewed confidence and excitement about their purchase went way beyond making a sale. What a journey this has been for many of us! After speaking to many of you, it seems that we’ve shared the same kind of journey. In a year that many of us would wish to forget, we’re all scrambling to get a handle on these new habits and what the “new norm” will be.

We know that some things are for certain, in that these days we are smiling more often with our eyes. When it comes to fashions, tops are outselling anything else due to the “new norm” of working from home and busy online with virtual meetings. Whether you are walking around wearing  your mask or sitting in front of a computer during a virtual call, the long-term shift in the types of clothing, shoes and accessories has dramatically taken a casual and comfortable vibe. Keep in mind that the longer this pandemic continues, the relationship with fashions and beauty will evolve.

For now, say goodbye to stiff and high heeled shoes and step into softer and more comfortable footwear. Also, look out for the sandals trend to be a new norm that women will be wearing indoors as much as outdoors. There is a long-term shift to basics and comfort and that trend is likely to continue even as we return to work. One of the biggest upcoming change is the need for value and as a store owner, I have a duty to my clients to stock and focus on trendy items that are of quality and have a “timeless” core; trendy but will still look good in our closets for a long time. A well-made, soft and comfortable hoody or a casual top worn under a light jacket or blazer matched with jeans or knit pants will be the trendy norm. Experiment with your style personality and make it your own by mixing and matching casual looks. We are always available to help you in any way we can.

For many of us, this has been one of the greatest challenges of our lives. While it may be difficult for some of us to deal with, it is during these times that we can learn the most about ourselves, that there are times when we need to take responsibility for our own well-being, and other times when we need to turn to others for help. What’s really important is that this is a good time to practice more love and compassion.

This situation is temporary. When things are good, enjoy it fully. But when things are not good, remember that those times will not last forever and better days are around the corner. Look ahead at the next few months and enjoy this new journey with a clearer vision, knowing that we are so much closer to reunification with familiar bodies and life in general. We are closer to freedom from isolation and limitations and closer to a new “normal”, and whatever that is, we will be so much stronger. We are here to help you find that distraction we all very much need. I promise you that my team and I will never take you for granted and you will always be treated with respect. Our stores follow the strictest safety protocols so that you can shop without another worry. Despite all that is going in your life, don’t forget to take time for yourself!

Be well. Be safe and SAVOUR every moment of each day! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog...
